We were met in reception very cordially by Mr Dorado who allocated a lovely room in this historic building next to the Oropesa castle. There is a lot of history to be had as this was the seat of the Alvarez family and Viceroy Toledo (Peru- fame) was associated with it. The room was as expected, very comfortable and well appointed. If you didn't want to use the grand staircase there were two lifts. The restaurant staff were highly engaging and cheerful, as well as thoughtful. This is one of the earlier Paradores and is very well-maintained despite its seniority

Castle in stunning hilltop location. Staff very friendly. Hotel very stylish & room very nice and comfortable. Staff exceptionally helpful. Unable to unlock our room on arrival but maintenance man arrived in minutes and all was sorted. The young lady on reception helped us to rebook another another Parador before we left. We had a wonderful lunch on the veranda on arrival while watching storks coming and going all around, a snack in the evening and breakfast next day. All food was excellent.

This is THE PLACE to be if staying at Oropesa in terms of location overlooking the town/ Sierra. The breakfast is buffet style and all inclusive, very well stock, plenty to choose from and very organized/clean. The dinner was excellent, very good food and some tables have a unique view of the Sierra/Valley. It's located uphill on the top, so going to see the town is walking distance downhill on the way, uphill on the way back.

My husband left his tablet behind in the room and they sent it via mail right away. We left the hotel Friday morning and he received his tablet Monday evening via Spanish correos. That was great customer service! The hotel was nice with many interesting common areas where guests could hang out. The bar and bar service was also very good. Prices were also reasonable. It was also fun to explore the castle next to the parador.

Really pleased to find the pool was open (a little earlier in the season than normal). Great place to spend the afternoon with sunbeds in sun or shade around the pool or in the gardens. We were celebrating a birthday and were delighted to find that when we arrived back from our supper in the town that we had been gifted a bottle of Cava. How lovely was that! Location, views, parking and WiFi all great.
